By the end of this course you should be able to:
Understand the Prevent Duty.
Understand the terms ‘radicalisation’, ‘extremism’ and ‘terrorism’.
Understand how to reduce the risk of radicalisation.
Understand the term ‘safeguarding’.
Understand the national and local context of safeguarding and protection from abuse.
Know how to recognise signs of abuse or potential harm.
Know how to respond if abuse or harm is disclosed, suspected or alleged.
Understand the potential consequences of inappropriate or illegal online activity.
Understand how to reduce the risks posed online.
Know about potential signs and behavioural changes that could cause concern.

Requirements
What study is needed at home?
Learners are required to attend the lesson time through Zoom as this course will be delivered online only. Learners are required to complete the NCFE workbook for the Volunteering Level 1 qualification. Learners will also need to dedicate time outside of the classroom to self-study and completing additional pieces of research to complete all the learning outcomes required to be answered for this qualification.
