Mental Health & Wellbeing

FACE Forward is a service that provides free health and wellbeing courses to residents of the Knowsley area and beyond.

Since we started in 2015 we have welcomed over 2000 students through our doors who have participated in courses.

All of our courses are co-designed and co-delivered by volunteers and people with lived experience of mental health issues. By doing this we aim to empower the people in our communities to play an active role in generating better health and wellbeing outcomes for themselves and future generations.

We aim to provide person and community centred health approaches that enable the people in our communities to live healthier and more fulfilled lives.

FACE Forward offers both social and educational prescribing to help alleviate symptoms of poor mental health that complements medical interventions provided by GPs or mental health services. Social and educational prescription is an extremely important and effective way to combat some of the personal, social and economic issues that can lead to poor mental health.

We are continually expanding our mix and breadth of courses to make our services more accessible to as many people in our communities as possible.

We would like to thank everyone who has participated in and supported this successful partnership and look forward to welcoming anyone new who wishes to engage with the project.
