What study is needed at home?

Learners are required to attend the lesson time through the use of Zoom. Learners are required to complete work that is set for them on Edmodo. Learners are also required to produce and keep a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate their progression within learning in the area of photography. Learners will also need to dedicate time outside of the classroom to self-study and capturing photographs for their photography work.

No previous learning in photography is required.

By the end of this course you should be able to:

Identify the camera controls that are available upon the camera

Explore a variety of different areas within photography

Develop skills that allow them to use photography terminology within a photography conversation

Learn to use different compositional techniques within photography to capture professional standard photographs

Identify important health and safety areas within digital photography and digital editing

Identify tools within digital editing software in order to alter photographic work

Learn to digitally alter photographs using editing software

Learn to review image quality within their own photography work

Progression to further learning with FACE

Learner can progress on to a level 2 NCFE Photography qualification.

This course is aimed at learners who have already completed the level 1 NCFE Photography qualification and want to take their developments and skills learning at step further. It is also for anyone who has a background in taking photographs, but who want to progress in their education about the subject of photography. It is designed to get learners to start specialising within a specific area of photography so that they can focus upon that area of photography with a possibility of employment as a photographer within that area.
